Venom The Last Dance Review
Venom The Last Dance Review: Spiderman is a universe without Spiderman, and a new movie has been released in it—the last part of Venom The Last Dance Review. Now, I am giving a disclaimer first that if you are going to watch this movie, then keep some things in mind. First of all, it takes place in the universe of Sunny, where no character will be found like those in Marvel or other comic book movies, and after thinking this, when you tone down your mind a little, you may find Venom The Last Dance Review a bit dull. This is because, after completing the entire trilogy of Venom, the conclusion of its entire story arc serves as a way to end it all. However, they called the ultimate being from the aliens to do this, so does this make a composite movie? If we start with the summary, then no, I am not going to give any spoilers about it.
The concept of Venom The Last Dance Review is quite interesting: Eddie Brock is trying to escape from a being named Geno Phases, which we also saw in the trailer because he is both Venom and Eddie. Kill them—actually, it’s a bit complicated, but I cannot tell here without spoilers. Just understand that Eddie Brock is trying to escape from the xenophages. Why have these xenophages come, where did they come from, why have they been sent to Earth, and why are they after Eddie Brock? Will they be able to catch Eddie Brock successfully or not? You will know all these things only after watching Venom The Last Dance Review, but the movie is about Eddie Brock escaping from the xenophages and going on a journey. Apart from this, you will not get to see much in the movie; the movie lacks a basic story.
Venom The Last Dance Review operates on a formula in which some monsters are chasing Eddie for some reason, and he is just trying to escape from them. The first act of Venom The Last Dance Review involves some initial build-up, while the second and third parts form the conclusion. The movie feels a bit slow because you have no deeper story to go on, and to fill this gap or void, some random characters are introduced, and an attempt is made to connect us emotionally with them. Personally, I did not find that very interesting, and it seemed a bit forced. Speaking of which, Venom The Last Dance Review contrasts with parts one and two, which worked on different tones.
Part one had a grey saturation, which meant that the other symbiotes also did not look much different from Venom, and by the end, it started feeling like a mishmash. In part two, they made it so dark that scenes in the dark were not clearly visible. In Venom The Last Dance Review, they have significantly improved both issues. The movie feels very dark in the dark scenes, and, apart from that, when other symbiotes come on screen, you can see a clear difference between them and Venom.
Now, it is not there in the comic books, but in the Venom of this universe, they tried to add another element to give it character. Venom The Last Dance Review includes a little humor and some childish acts, and the same chemistry seen in the previous parts is even more visible in this one. This is because, in this movie, Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock does not spend much time as Venom, so when Eddie is in human form, we hear conversations from the perspectives of both characters. If he had transformed into Venom, we would again be hearing Venom’s dialogue. Speaking of which, Tom Hardy is amazing as Eddie Brock and Venom. This was not as noticeable in the previous movies, but in Venom The Last Dance Review, the portrayal feels even more seamless, even though both characters are played by the same actor. The performances of the other actors seem satisfactory; however, the supporting cast doesn’t bring much to the table.
A big element of Venom The Last Dance Review is its CGI and VFX. I would say that from part one till now, there has been a lot of improvement in VFX. Still, there is some inconsistency because, in some sequences, it feels strange when he tries to emerge from Eddie’s stomach and talk, or when he transitions onto someone else. But these are easily ignored as you are already quite immersed in Venom The Last Dance Review by then. However, a major problem of Venom The Last Dance Review is its villain. I wish the movie had a better villain. Apart from the circumstances or screaming monsters without any distinct character, the design of the xenophages has improved, especially in how they consume people. But the main villains in Venom The Last Dance Review are just mindless, screaming monsters and nothing more. They serve a purpose in the movie but don’t add much to the story, and their presence or absence doesn’t affect your experience.
An attempt has been made to tell a convenient story about them, where they can instantly track down any person they’re hunting. So overall, I would place Venom The Last Dance Review somewhere between good and average because, in my opinion, it’s better than all the other Venom movies so far.
