Sachin Tendulkar shared the pictures of the meeting with PM Modi on social media and wrote a brief caption, expressing that the family was honoured to extend the invitation to the Prime Minister of the country and also thanked the leader for his blessings and advice for the couple. The meeting took place ahead of the wedding, which is scheduled to be held in Mumbai.

Arjun Tendulkar, son of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, will reportedly marry fiancée Saaniya Chanhok on March 5.

The wedding is expected to be a private affair and will happen in the presence of close ones. As per the report, the wedding festivities will begin in March, and most of the ceremonies will likely take place in Mumbai, where the Tendulkar family resides.

Even the news of the couple’s engagement came as a major surprise to the fans. Arjun and Saaniya got engaged in a quiet ceremony last August.

Who is Saaniya Chandhok?

Saaniya Chandhok hails from Mumbai and belongs to a well-known business family. She is the granddaughter of prominent Mumbai businessman and hotelier Ravi Ghai, founder of the Graviss Group. Living up to the family’s name, Saaniya also entered the entrepreneurial world. She is the founder and director of Mr. Paws, a luxury pet spa in Mumbai.

Arjun Tendulkar to gear up for IPL 2026

Arjun Tendulkar, who was part of the Mumbai Indians squad since 2021, ended his stint with the franchise after the 5-time IPL champions traded him to Lucknow Super Giants as a part of the swap deal involving Shardul Thakur. The deal took place ahead of the IPL 2026 auction.

Given the extent of competition in the Indian Premier League, Arjun could not cement his place in the playing XI of the Mumbai Indians. He made his debut for the outfit in the 2023 edition of the league against the Kolkata Knight Riders and took his maiden wicket in the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad, dismissing Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

He had his share of ups and downs, but his stint with the MI could be defined as largely volatile. However, the 26-year-old could still turn the tide, and this time he will have Lady Luck with him as well.
