Aiming to bolster India’s technological landscape, the US, Japan, South Korea Boost Digital Growth with India has been launched by the United States, Japan, and South Korea in partnership with the Indian private sector. This transformative initiative is led by the US International Development Finance Corporation, Japan Bank for International Cooperation, and Korea Export-Import Bank , with a primary focus on expanding digital infrastructure across India.

Under the US, Japan, South Korea Boost Digital Growth with India, the DFC CEO Scott Nathan, JBIC Governor Nobumitsu Hayashi, and Korea Eximbank Chairman and CEO Hee-Sung Yoon have signed the ‘Digital Infrastructure Growth Initiative for India Framework’ . This framework will support digital projects in India, including advancements in 5G, Open RAN, submarine cables, optical fiber networks, telecom towers, data centers, smart cities, e-commerce, AI, and quantum technology, all under the umbrella of the New Digital Infrastructure Initiative in India.

Emphasizing the significance of the US, Japan, South Korea Boost Digital Growth with India, DFC CEO Scott Nathan described it as a key step toward fostering sustainable development and prosperity throughout the Indo-Pacific region. By joining forces with JBIC, Korea Eximbank, and India’s private sector, DFC aims to fulfill the growing demand for top-tier digital infrastructure in India through the New Digital Infrastructure Initiative in India.

As noted by JBIC Governor Nobumitsu Hayashi, this collaborative framework seamlessly aligns with government policies in both India and Japan. He highlighted that the New Digital Infrastructure Initiative in India was a direct result of the tripartite agreement signed in August 2023, which followed a high-level meeting in March 2024.
Additionally, Korea Eximbank Chairman and CEO Hee-Sung Yoon shared his commitment to this mission, underlining the New Digital Infrastructure in India initiative as a strong foundation to address India’s digital infrastructure needs.

In essence, the US, Japan, South Korea Boost Digital Growth with India is about more than building infrastructure to strengthen ties, promote cooperation and drive economic growth among these partner nations.
